Puppy’s First Groom (3 - 4 months)

It’s important to introduce your puppy to grooming early on. I welcome puppies after their second vaccination. This service offers a gentle puppy wash and blow dry, nail clipping, face trim and tidy up where required.

Even if you pup is not in need of a groom just yet it is so important to bring them in for a puppy intro as young as 12 weeks old. This is to expose them to the sounds and sensations of the salon and grooming process so this is not so overwhelming when they are ready for their full groom.

These visits are made as fun as possible for your pup and include treats, praise and playtime so they build a positive association with the groomers from a young age.

A meet and greet introductory visit is advisory and I offer this free of charge. This is a short visit to the salon so your pup can explore the salon and garden area and have some treats, in order to help build a positive association with the salon.

Offering ultrasonic teeth cleaning using Emmi-pet, which is a vet-approved, pain-free solution to your dog’s oral health. The toothbrush itself makes no sound and does not vibrate, making it gentle and perfect for even anxious dogs.

Hand stripping is a specialised grooming technique primarily for wire-haired breeds. It’s a process that involves manually removing dead hair from the coat, rather than cutting it with scissors or clippers. 

Hand stripping helps to maintain the natural texture and colour of the coat, ensuring the coat remains healthy, vibrant, and keeps its natural wiry texture.
